Britney Spears: “I’m a Big Fan of Lady Gaga”
Singer Britney Spears was asked about a possible collaboration with Lady Gaga in a recent interview with Pop magazine:
“I’m a big fan of hers. Anything’s possible!”
In 2008, Lady Gaga wrote a song called “Quicksand” for Spears’s sixth studio album Circus. She said:
“Britney is a nice girl – I just feel very honoured that she wanted to sing my song. I used to scream for her in Times Square and now I work for her. When I was 13 she was the most provocative performer of my time. I love her so much!”
The pop stars met backstage at Lady Gaga’s “Monster Ball” in L.A. earlier this month.

Lady Gaga Becomes Most Followed on Twitter
Lady Gaga has just surpassed Britney Spears as the most famous person on social networking site Twitter. At the time of writing, she has 5,666,500 followers, 100 more than Britney.
The singer joined Twitter on March 26th, 2008 with the following update: “Rehearsing for my video ‘Just Dance’ and am now at WMC to perform at the Armani and Nervous Records party. But I am no nervous record”. Since then, she wrote 460 tweets.
Unlike Miss Spears’s tweets, which are either promotional messages from her staff or personal notes that appear when the pop princess is reportedly attending an event, all of Lady Gaga’s updates come directly from her. They are later being reposted to Facebook, where she became the first living person to reach 10 million fans last month.

RedOne Talks Lady Gaga’s Next Album
Producer RedOne, who collaborated with Lady Gaga on her chart-topping singles “Just Dance”, “Poker Face”, “Bad Romance” and “Alejandro”, talked about her next album in a recent interview with Billboard magazine. He said:
“It’s going to be shocking, shocking, shocking! You never want to go too far from your brand – people love you for a reason. But we still want to give them something with a kick, something that makes them say, ‘Oh my God! We didn’t expect this!’. When you heard ‘Bad Romance’ after ‘Poker Face’, it was like the best thing you’ve ever heard. We want that type of reaction. I think that’s part of my job and her job – to keep her evolving.”
RedOne confirmed that he has worked on two tracks for the upcoming album, which is set to be released next year, and described both of them as “massive” hits-to-be.

Eyeing movie career to Lady Gaga
Pop star Lady Gaga is now reportedly eyeing an acting career by starring in her own film.
The singer 24 year old is hoping that the project will be a mix between Moonwalker and Dreamgirls and is already in talks with 'X-Men' director Bryan Singer to make the movie.
A source said, "All the time Gaga is a actual creative genius and is thinking about new possibilities. About a movie she's very excited, but she wants to do it right. She wants to work in the business with the best people".
The source added, "Gaga wants to emulate what Michael Jackson did during the '80s. You can already look with her music videos. Every one of them is a mini event. So it's only logical she moves that on to the big screen. Gaga likes to be in control. She is behind everything on her own movie. It could take a long time".

Lady Gaga’s Vanity Fair Cover Story
Lady Gaga tells Vanity Fair contributing editor Lisa Robinson that she tries to avoid having sex because she is afraid of depleting her creative energy—“I have this weird thing that if I sleep with someone they’re going to take my creativity from me through my vagina.”
She also says that she doesn’t trust anybody and doesn’t know if she ever will. Gaga tells Robinson, “I’m perpetually lonely. I’m lonely when I’m in relationships. It’s my condition as an artist.” Regarding men, she says, “I’m drawn to bad romances. And my song [“Bad Romance”] is about whether I go after those [sort of relationships] or if they find me. I’m quite celibate now; I don’t really get time to meet anyone.”
Gaga talks candidly about her drug use and recalls her ultimate low point: “I was completely mental and had just been through so much.” She had been using drugs, and is quick to tell Robinson that, if she writes about that incident, “I do not want my fans to ever emulate that or be that way. I don’t want my fans to think they have to be that way to be great. It’s in the past. It was a low point, and it led to disaster.”
Instead of rehab, though, when disaster struck, Gaga “went home.” She tells Robinson, “All I will say is I hit rock bottom, and it was enough to send a person over the edge. My mother knew the truth about that day, and she screamed so loud on the other end of the phone, I’ll never forget it. And she said, ‘I’m coming to get you.’” Gaga says they went to her 82-year-old grandmother’s house in West Virginia. “I cried. I told her I thought my life was over and I have no hope and I’ve worked so hard, and I knew I was good. What would I do now? And she said, ‘I’m gonna let you cry for a few more hours. And then after those few hours are up, you’re gonna stop crying, you’re gonna pick yourself up, you’re gonna go back to New York, and you’re gonna kick some ass.’”
Gaga also responds to the brouhaha surrounding her appearance at the Yankees game, and what she wore to her sister’s graduation; shows Robinson the contents of her bag; explains her devotion to her Little Monsters; and more.
The September issue of Vanity Fair will be available on newsstands in New York and L.A. on Wednesday, August 4, and nationally and on the iPad on Tuesday, August 10.

Lady Gaga: Immigration Law During Arizona Concert
Prior to Lady Gaga’s concert in Arizona on Saturday night, various rappers and rock stars asked the pop singer to cancel her performance and boycott the state due to the existence of Arizona Senate Bill 1070. While she respectfully chose not to comply with their requests, she capitalized on the chance to urge fans to protest the controversial immigration law.
Lady Gaga said to the crowd of over 14,000, “We have to be active, we have to actively protest,” according to MTV. “I will not cancel my show. I will hold you, and we will hold each other, and we will protest this state.” The eccentric recording artist addressed SB 1070 on her Twitter page prior to the concert and the slogan “Stop SB 1070” was written on her forearm during her show.
Gaga tweeted before the concert, “Tonight we will continue to actively protest social and political injustices in Arizona. We will sing, we will stand up, + we will be heard.” Earlier this month, she rallied her fans against anti gay protesters by preaching love and unity and she chose to address another hot button political issue by turning her attention towards SB 1070.
A performance of “You and I” before dedicating to a young Arizona boy who had been affected by the law’s existence, to the fans in attendance she told his legend. “I met a boy today who is suffering ... He told me his house was raided because of a parking ticket or something. They took his brother, and now he is in Mexico,” Gaga revealed.
She continued by saying, “It’s actually disgusting. I think it’s important that people understand that it’s a state of emergency for this place and this state.”
