New Book! Of GaGa!

A New Book About/Bio
The new Poker Face book detailing Lady Gaga's dangerous dieting lifestyle figures to fly off shelves, as the unauthorized biography by her former tour manager alleges she is hiding a serious eating disorder and has been hospitalized because of it several times.

"Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga" as told by David Ciemny claims Gaga was hospitalized "at least six times" because of the disorder in 2009 alone, according to a story at CBSNews.com. Ciemny alleges Gaga would binge on bad foods before not eating for weeks between fittings, dropping as many as 20 pounds between a pair of fittings during one such incident.

The book was penned by New York Post reporter Maureen Callahan, who reportedly helped interview 50 "friends, employees, rivals, and music industry veterans" to get the dirt on Gaga.

These are serious allegations, and in this day and age it's difficult to discount anything when it comes to the world of celebrities, particularly those as eccentric as Lady Gaga. But it's important to keep the source in mind, as well. Ciemny could simply be trying to get his piece of Lady Gaga's celebrity pie by releasing this book to capitalize on her fame, fame he perhaps missed out on since he's no longer her tour manager.

He could very well be telling the truth. But he could also be angling for a quick buck by trying to take advantage of his former relationship with Gaga. The bottom line is there's just as much chance the story is entirely false as there is that it's entirely true.

If it is true, it's a sad tale, and something Lady Gaga needs to get help for immediately. If it's not true, Ciemny should be condemned for making such allegations.

One thing's for sure: Either way, people will read it.
