Guys, get a grip on yourself. Volunteer your time for IV. It is both fulfilling and it is for a cause.
Of course being in a state of limbo is not the best thing you planned for, in life. If your spouse is not allowed to work and/or has difficulties coping with stress, just channelize all energy towards IV goals.
Cheer up.
I talked to many important people in IL including state government, university professors who are related to immigration and/or have interest in imm. They are all aware of our problems (hard country limits, spouse/dependents counted in visa numbers etc). It is only the offices of congress reps that show a blank face as far as skilled immigration is concerned.
So I urge you to join your local state chapters and start meeting your reps and/or office staff asap.
Now for those, who are here for a free ride with no progressive work and have not contributed, shame on you and I mean it. :)

I have a question , if someone want to answer it.
We are applying for EB based greencard,That is its my company which is applying for my GC, i am just an benefeciary , and USCIS is dealing with my company, How can i then sue USCIS in the lawsuit.
I asked this because, my lawyer told me that its my company who is the applicant in a EB based GC
Your company does not file adjusment of status (AOS), you file the AOS for you and your dependents ... we are not talkin about labor and 140 here we are talkin about 485 .. Your employer or lawyer does not undergo vaccinations and medical tests ...
You should ask your lawyer about "due process under law" in american constitution ...

If we see the history H1B and GC numbers were never increased except 2004 20k inpast 15 years In 2000 it was increasd temporarlily for 4 years.Also EB numbers were never increased except temporary reliefs.If it is increased by Skill bill in current form that is really an acheivement. If there is a possiblity they may increase H1B because that is temorary visa(But in reallity not) and GC numbers may remain same. But if increased to 115k then also cap will be reached in another 1 month because there are more number of Desi companies than number of H1Bs. Thats why they are asking exemptions for MS people and 20% adjustment for every year. We have to wait and see whether congress fall on this trap to do this without analysing the impact.

Last week someone with last name Powell (looked very proud to me) from state deptt was on situation room with Wolf Blitzer. Her office was in charge of increasing the enrollment of internartional students in your contry. She had reduced the time for processing F1 visa to a week. She even went to middle east. Get her deptt closed proudly. This will improve your educational system also.
If you can not stop her, ask her to tell all students that F1 will not be converted to H1B or H1B will not be converted to green card.
This will stop the problem at the root and you can enjoy your wealth proudly.
Why don't posters on this forum move back to their home country and concentrate on making their home country great instead of slamming into someone else's country and just living off the wealth others have created?

Hundreds of thousands of American programmers have lost their job to the third world, both in outsourcing and insourcing of third world programmers who work for cheaper wages. There is absolutely no need for more foreigners here and no need for more green cards. Temporary workers are just that - temporary. If you are on a temporary visa, work your time, make some money for your family and head home when your time is up. Don't cry that we don't provide enough green cards when you knew what kind of visa you were on.

Blacks, Latinos and even us Indians have reservation in the US. We get reservations right from Kinder garden, thru college and job opportunities. Many Federal govt. contracts are reserved for minorities and women.

After reading lots of forums contributors, my 2 cents :
a) I think the first thing is ban those people who advise separation of interests or make invidual groups in forums.
As if things happening in india are not enough to divide people on all fronts, a new separation criteria is created here on EB1/EB2/EB3. A lot of us are very creative..wow !!
b) Initiative needs to be well spent and well thought. Its a forum for ideas and further on implementation. So, its for everyone. Taking initiative is not bad, go ahead, but walking tall on other peoples misery is not really very cool !!
People are waiting for 10 years in line, come on..think, if this happens to all of us..
c) Legal and illegal efforts. People accusing core of bank accounts withdrawls and all that nonsense, do not need any rebuttal.
The harshness of things is creeping in people, but pls. some sincerity is also needed.
I thank all of you who have worked hard for the benefit of all of us.

If that is so, no one who is on H1-b can sue their employer for exploiting them. BTW, I personally know people who have successfully sued their employer (US company) for not paying the salary they agreed.

CPO today. Case at local office. Had 1 interview where all documents for status and taxes were checked for the past 12 years. Never had a problem or gap in status and IO was surprised why the case came to local office. I was atleast happy that the interview is the worst thing that can happen and I am done through that.
After 3 infopass appts, 2 SRs in all have the CPO in hand.

Hi guys,
it is very frustrating that most of the guys whi have filed between July 2nd -July 16 have been waiting either close to 90 or more than 90 days, just for the sake of the DAMN receipt notices.
I have been very patiently waiting for the past 84 days (as i filed mine on July16th) and I see that even folks who filed just during the Aug 10th period are also getting their notices and getting their FP done.
DAMN with USCIS sorting order, as those morons could not even implement a FIFO manner, if they had followed, we would have had our receipts long back.
Once again, HELL with these stupid receipting process.
Hope atleast some of you can understand the pain in the whole friggin process.
